MAIA   PECCI

Maia Pecci is a Paraguayan actor, writer, and director based in New York, fluent in Spanish, English, French, and German. She is drawn to women full of contradictions, wit beneath composure, desire beneath restraint, and strength emerging in unexpected moments. Her background in dance and physical performance brings an embodied approach to character, with room for both emotional intimacy and bold comedy.

Maia co-wrote, produced, and starred as Eva in the feature film Original Sin, which premiered at Austin Film Festival, screened at more than twenty international festivals, and was acquired by HBO. Her screen work also includes The Grey in Between, Hejleh, and Paloma, a recurring role in Swing, and a guest appearance in the Paraguayan sitcom Sólo por unos días.

A graduate of the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles, she continued her training through Lucid Body, Juilliard Extension and Viewpoints. Her experience as a writer and director informs a collaborative acting practice grounded in listening, curiosity, and a willingness to experiment. Her training as a Family and Systemic Constellation facilitator offers another lens on the unspoken relationships and loyalties shaping a character’s choices.

Before pursuing acting, Maia worked as an international flight attendant—a life spent moving between languages, cultures, and encounters that continues to feed her imagination.
